Home / glossary / rated module current (A)

Rated module current (A):The rated module current is the maximum amount of current that a solar panel can produce, measured in amps. The rating is usually given as a short-circuit current (Isc). This means that, if you connect a solar panel to a load with no resistance (a short circuit), the panel will produce this much current. A higher rated module current means that the panel can produce more power.
