Background
The city of Greenville needed pedestrian lighting on Lee Street in the Historic Downtown area for safety and added security for local shops and patrons.
Solution
The areas on the south side of Lee Street are in the shadows and receive little to no sun to efficiently charge any solar light. To remedy this lack of available sunlight an additional GFS-200 Energy Storage System was incorporated in the installation as an adjoined slave setup to collect the sun and charge the Stealth lights in this area. The architecturally pleasing design of the Stealth was considered, as well as, the optimal performance for all night operation throughout the year.
Result
When we asked the City of Greenville if they were happy with the outcome of this project they responded with “Yes, we are very pleased and plan to continue to add more Green Frog Systems lights to our historic downtown lighting project and we would recommend them to other potential customers.”
