Why Choose Our Solar Car Park Lighting?
No trenches or concrete cutting
No need for trenching, cabling or cutting concrete – allowing fast installation with minimal site disruption.
Installation takes under 2 hours
Traditional street lights can take 6+ months for grid connection and days for installation.
Lower cost to install & run
No trenching, cabling or grid connection keeps installation costs low while solar power eliminates electricity costs.
Keeps running during blackouts
Solar lighting operates independently from the grid, so it continues working during power outages.
Super simple maintenance
Designed for long service life, solar lighting systems require only occasional cleaning and simple maintenance.
Proven in harsh conditions
Used across construction, infrastructure and remote sites where reliable lighting is needed in tough environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the system perform during extended cloudy periods?
Each system is engineered with defined multi-night autonomy. A minimum of five (5) nights of full operation is designed into the system, meaning the light will continue to perform without receiving solar charge. Autonomy is calculated using site-specific solar data, seasonal worst-case conditions and verified energy modelling, not annual averages.
How long do the systems last and what is the warranty?
Green Frog Systems products are designed as long-term infrastructure assets. The systems include a 6-year warranty on the complete lighting system and a 10-year pro-rata battery performance warranty. The battery warranty guarantees defined operational capacity over time under normal use conditions.
Are they suitable for construction, mining and infrastructure projects?
Yes. The systems are deployed across road upgrades, remote works, construction staging and public infrastructure projects. They require no trenching, no cabling and no diesel generators, and are designed for harsh, remote and high-impact environments.
Do they require maintenance?
Maintenance is minimal. Typical servicing includes periodic solar panel cleaning and battery replacement after 6 to 10 years, depending on configuration and operating profile. There are no electricity bills, switchboards or fuel logistics to manage.
How are they installed?
Installation is fast and straightforward. Systems can be direct-bury, flange-mounted or slip-base configured. No trenching or grid connection is required.
Do they comply with Australian standards?
Yes, when specified correctly. Project-specific photometric design is provided to meet AS/NZS 1158 lighting categories where required. Structural engineering certification aligns with applicable wind regions and site classifications.
What if the site has shading?
Solar access is assessed during the design stage. Energy modelling is based on actual site inputs, and where required we provide remote solar configurations or adjusted system sizing. Performance is engineered around real conditions, not assumed.
Why don’t you offer hybrid solar with mains backup?
Hybrid systems add complexity without resolving dependency. If grid power is reliable, conventional grid lighting is typically more appropriate. If it is not, the system should be engineered to operate independently. Our solar lighting is designed with defined autonomy and site-specific modelling to perform without relying on backup supply.
Are the systems suitable for coastal or marine environments?
Yes, when specified for the environment. We offer Tyger Drylac marine-grade powder coating on selected fixtures, along with corrosion-resistant components and marine-suited hardware. Coastal exposure must be identified during specification to ensure appropriate material selection.
What wind regions can the systems handle?
Systems are engineered and certified to suit applicable Australian wind regions, including cyclonic classifications where required. Pole, footing and mounting selection aligns with structural engineering certification.
What is the whole-of-life cost compared to grid lighting?
Solar eliminates trenching, cable runs, network connection fees and ongoing electricity costs. In remote or hard-to-power sites, the total installed cost is often lower. In grid-available sites, solar can reduce civil scope and long-term operating expenditure.
Can the system be relocated?
Certain configurations can be relocated if a project location changes. Block-mounted and temporary configurations are commonly used in construction and staged infrastructure environments.
Why Green Frog Systems?
Because we engineer solar lighting as infrastructure. Every system is designed around lighting compliance, structural certification and energy modelling rather than assumptions.
